Scrunching up her face, Lyra smiled, she really did like Sexy. She was so nice. “No, I don’t think I’ve been told that before and I hope I will! If he could I’m sure he’d love to meet you - you’re the human TARDIS!” Her smile grew to an excited grin and she forgot that her Dad wasn’t even close. “Nope, I haven’t got a nickname, she’s the TARDIS, so I’ll have to think about that. Oh, yes? Are there, like, no places you haven’t been to, then?”
She nodded vigorously, “Of course! She’s part you anyway - you’re entitled to!” Lyra grabs Sexy’s hand and pulls her eagerly round the console and over to the stairs that led to the rest of the TARDIS, “You have to remember though that she is still growing, I’m not sure if that’s bad or not because we’re flying around, maybe before she’s ready… It’s because we left when she wasn’t finished but it’s fun when new rooms pop up! So, as my Dad would say, Allons-y!”
“Ah, well I’ve probably met him before. Timelines and all that. It’s rather hard to keep a track of all your fathers who are running about. I’m sure you’ll run into one of them at some point. And, dear, if you ever need any help finding your father then I will help all I can, hm? Being seperated from your parents must be just terrible.” She shook her head. “Not that I know of. Who knows? One day a planet might just creep up and surprise me. After over 900 years of travelling, Lyra, you come to find that you visit some places more than twice. You and your TARDIS will discover that, I assure you.” She smiled at her - it was lovely to see this new life, in both the TARDIS and Lyra. Off to explore the universe. A girl and her box. “Where have you been so far?”
She waved her free hand as she was pulled along by Lyra. “No, no, no. Quite the opposite. It’s good to stretch her legs as it were.” Her view changed to look at their surroundings. “My, my, you’re taking good care of her aren’t you?”
"Oh, that’s fair. I don’t remember him saying anything, but then Dad talks a lot, doesn’t he? Thank-you, if anything comes up I’ll remember to come to you about it - it really is awful, I miss them both loads." Her face saddens but soon brightens up, "That’s incredible! So you must know some great places to visit, yeah? Well, I don’t think I’ll be travelling for 900 years! I’m still just human, even if there is the smallest of small Time Lord-y-ness in me."
At the question of where she had been, Lyra’s smile widened even more, “To some great places! Like, ummm, Apalapucia - before the epidemic of course, Kataa-Floko and the Lotus Nebula and then places that Mum and Dad talked about quite a bit, like Women Wept and New Earth.”
Lyra stared at Sexy slightly open-mouthed, “You really think I’m taking good care of her?” She let out a relieved sigh unknowingly, “I’m so glad! I don’t know what’s good and what’s bad; but for you to say that makes me feel so much better! I’m doing something right!”
